Owning Life it not easy. It's journey that is never completed. There are highs, and there are lows - but ultimately, if you stick with it, life gets better and better. That's what the forum is for. We (me and everyone else who is on their Own Life journey) are here to support one another through the rough patches, and to celebrate the successes as a trusting, open, collaborative, non-judgemental community of people.
There is no qualification that you need before you post something. If you have a thought or a feeling, it's valid. Others will have different beliefs, and they too are valid. By sharing perspectives, and being open to hear perspectives that are different from our own, we will grow our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
What should I post? Anything that is relevant to the topics covered in the Own Life book, and even better if they relate to your personal experience of these topics. What really hit home, what caused you to cringe, what experiment did you try, what has surprised you, what has disappointed you, what worked, what hasn't worked.
By telling your story you help others to understand their own better.
What should I comment on? Add your perspective to some else's journey, remembering that they have been open and shared something personal to them, so be kind. Empathise, share advice, connect by sharing a similar story, be curious to find out more. Show them that you care by offering whatever gift you have to give.
To post and add comments you'll need to sign in (which takes 30 seconds), so go ahead and let's Own Life together.
I'm slowly working my way through the book. The 'reflect & write' sections take up the bulk of the time. Trawling through the recesses of my mind recalling memories of my past is an experience, no doubt. I did wonder whether you should have a downloadable work book, but based on the amount of writing so far I'm sure it would exceed 50 pages!
